Art with Ms. Ball

When Goose saw there was a new Art with Ms. Ball video, she gleefully shouted, “That’s my favorite show!” And then after watching the Ms. Ball, she promptly got to work making her own comic book about a mouse, some fish, an angry snake, and a thirsty spotted elephant. So watch Ms. Ball for some inspiration on what to draw when your kids tell you they’re bored. If your kids are really interested in making their own comic books, or illustrating their own books, check out some of the other videos we’ve been enjoying below.

Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems

Mo Willems, author and illustrator of the Pigeon Books and Elephant and Piggie Books teaches kids how to just doodle during his short lunchtime series Lunch Doodles with Mo Willems. We love how calm he is, and also how he shows kids his process for building books.

At Home with Dav Pilkey

Captain Underpants isn’t my favorite, but in my house, I’m totally outvoted. So the kids were excited to see that they could learn how to draw from Dav Pilkey in this Library of Congress series. And truth be told, I really appreciated his message to the kids. They liked it so much they bingewatched all his videos. And then sang Tra, La La. All. Day. Long.
